Christina Aguilera to Headline Mary J. Blige Honors Concert /
Christina Aguilera, along with Jennifer Hudson, Anita Baker, Jill Scott and Corrine Bailey Rae were among the few artists tapped to perform at the second annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul will team up with Queen Latifah and Elle magazine’s editor-in-chief, Robbie Meyers to host the star-studded show that’s slated to take place on May 1 at the New York City Hammerstein Ballroom. The concert will be sponsored by FFAWN (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now)—Mary J. Blige and record executive Steve Stoute’s non-profit organization. To date, the organization has sent 25 young women to college on full scholarships. Each of the young women have been able maintain the required 3.0 GPA.
Kudos to Aguilera, Hudson, Blige and all of the other women who continue to make a difference in the community!
Check out these two Grammy performances by Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige. Both made the Recording Academy’s list of greatest Grammy performances of all time.
I still get chills from that Christina performance.
