House Republicans Want to Take Your Health Care /



With all the hoopla surrounding the federal budget, key votes in the House of Representatives have been swept under the rug. Republicans in the House are poised to vote on HR 1217, a bill that would strip federal funding for the Prevention and Public Health Fund, a key provision in the health care law that was passed by Congress and signed by President Obama.
The Politics: Passing the Affordable Care Act was, by far, the biggest accomplishment of the Obama Administration, and if Republicans were to try to repeal the law they would face overwhelming backlash. So instead, Republicans are using their power in the House to defund the law, piece by piece.
Make A Difference: Call your local representative and tell them to vote “NO” to HR 1217. This bill would literally KILL millions of Americans, simply because they can’t afford to pump the pockets of health care CEOs. America can afford to save lives, it’s our RESPONSIBILITY. Call your congressmen TODAY!
