Kerry Washington returns to D.C….. in a ‘Scandal’ /
Looks like Kerry Washington will be returning to DC -- well on TV, anyway. She’ll be staring in a new television series called ‘Scandal’. The show revolves around the life and work of a professional crisis manager and her dysfunctional staff. Kerry Washington will play Olivia Pope, a former media relations consultant to the President. Though she's opened up her own firm, she can't seem to cut ties with her past -- professionally and personally. It is based on real-life media relations guru Judy Smith who served as deputy press secretary for President George H. W. Bush and advised Monica Lewinsky during the Clinton scandal. The show is to air sometime this fall on the ABC network.
