Video: D.C. Metro Transit Police Use Excessive Force On a Handicapped Man & Causes An Uproar /
Alright guys, this video has haunted me all weekend long. It baffles me that law enforcement would be so cruel as to lift a man out of his wheelchair, shove him to the ground so hard that his face gets busted open. This is, by far, one of the most senseless acts of violence that I have seen committed by law enforcement. Now, of course the Metro Transit officers that you see in this video have since claimed their innocence, telling the mainstream media that they acted according to protocol when they were informed that a man, in a wheelchair, was publicly drinking in front of a heavily trafficked metro station in Washington, D.C. The officers went on to say that when they attempted to apprehend the suspect, to their surprise, he stood up! That’s when the officers say they used force to take the culprit down. OK readers, you guys are pretty smart. Take a look at this video. Does it look like the suspect stood to his feet? Or, did the officers lift the suspect out of his wheelchair and then throw him to the ground? Make sure you leave us a comment.
P.S. To our surprise neither officer in this case is on any type of corrective action—both of them are still serving on the Metro Transit force.
