Fashion Gives Back: TOMS Shoes Launches Eyewear! /
It’s pretty obvious that, TOMS fans love shopping for a cause. TOMS shoe brand just recently expanded it’s ‘One for One’ business model to include eyewear! For every pair of glasses purchased, TOMS will help give sight to people in need through prescription eyeglasses, medical treatment and surgery.
TOMS founder Black Mycoskie speaks out on this new venture:
“As I was out there distributing shoes, I saw many of the needs of people in the developing world, and vision impairments can be dealt with in an immediate way.”
The collection comes in three styles with symbolic-colored stripe designs on the sides. “The first stripe represents you, the bright stripe at the back is the person who has been given sight, and the white stripe in the middle is TOMS, who brought these two people together,” Mycoskie explains further.
