REPUBLICANS WANT TO RAISE TAXES, OBAMA SAYS 'NO' /
Again, Republicans in the Congress have brought us to the point of ‘do or die.’ On January 1, 2012, everyone in this country will face a tax increase. Here’s the back story—when President Bush was in office he lowered taxes for about 98 percent of the country (one of the more enjoyable things he did while in office) but he didn’t pay for them. Now that the country is in a financial hell hole, Obama is saying that we cannot afford all of Bush’s tax cuts, so … he believes that the wealthiest Americans should give up their tax cuts and middle class families should be able to hold on to theirs. Republicans don’t like that plan—so they’ve decided that the only way they will vote to keep taxes lower for middle class Americans, is if millionaires and billionaires get to keep an unnecessary $30,000 tax cut. “No drama” Obama says, he ain’t havin’ it!
Just to show you how serious this is, WhiteHouse.gov put a countdown clock on their website counting down the number of days until January 1—when middle class families will see a massive tax hike.
