Newt Gingrich Comes Out the Gate Swinging at Wife's Accusations of Infidelity--belittles CNN Moderator /

It’s not often that I agree with Republicans, but on this issue I’m torn—last night during the South Carolina Republican debate, CNN chose to open the debate with a question to Newt Gingrich about the allegations his wife had made about him requesting an open-style marriage, where Gingrich would be free to smash whomever he wanted. Well, Gingrich wasn’t going to have it—he snapped back at the moderator, John King:

Now, I agree that it was inappropriate to open the debate with such a tabloid question, however I do believe that CNN had every right to ask it. C’mon, it is a part of the vetting session that every presidential candidate has to go through—furthermore, Newt Gingrich had the complete opposite to say when he spearheaded the campaign to impeach President Clinton for his extramarital affairs when he was speaker of the House. What was deplorable was the way Gingrich decided he was going belittle John King for simply doing his job—to the point that even King felt uncomfortable. And the audience was like the twilight zone—giving standing ovations to every arrogant statement that came out of Newt Gingrich’s mouth. This was just a highlight from last night’s debate, but the entire thing was a clown show, don’t worry. Here’s where the race stands:
