Christian Dior Spring 2012 Couture /

Thanks to Christian Dior’s new creative director, Bill Gaytten, Dior Couture is still going strong and thier newest collection is living proof!  Gaytten, who worked next to John Galliano for 16 years did an excellent job of continuing the legacy of the Dior ateliers! When Dior gave Galliano the  boot last February, many ( myself included) were worried that the fashion house may take a pivot for the worst, but by the look of this collection, it appears to have been a smooth transition. To be completely honest, I can’t tell the difference between Galliano and Gaytten, which can only mean two words: continued success.

This is such a beautiful collection (as always). The collection screams nostalgia, full of super-feminine chiffon, organza and the classic checks. The sheer layering, intricate detailing, tulle skirts and plum dresses gave the collection my kind of femininity! I love <3! Happy to know the House of Dior is still on my list of favorites!

Video: Marni x H&M will feature Spring 2012 /

Now that the hype has died down about Versace x H&M, get your adrenaline pumping once more for the Spring 2012 collection of Marni. In case you are not familiar with the line, Marni is an Italian fashion label, headed by Consuelo Castiglioni. It is sold at Barney's New York, Neiman Marcus and other luxury retailers (typically $1,000 + per piece). The brand is well known for its quirky colors, styles, prints and fabrics. According to Women's Wear Daily, the collection will be sold in over 260 H&M stores and online. I would imagine that the collection for H&M will be sold several hundred dollars less than regular price items. [I’m also certain the site will crash like Missoni's collection for Target]

Marni x H&M is said to hit stores on March 8th, 2012 . I’m loving the statement jewelry in the collection, very tribal-esque! Check out the video below to get a sneak peek of what you can expect this spring.
