Coming This Fall: A Line of Chanel 'Boy Bags' /

A brand new line of Chanel bags will be in stores this fall. Based on a hunting cartridge style originally carried by tomboy CoCo Chanel herself, this new line of handbags are made to embody the androgynous charm the designer was once known for.

Karl Lagerfeld goes into detail of his inspiration:
"Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses; she had this boyish attitude, in fact it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life, which, incidentally, explains why the new bag is called the Boy Chanel."

These glazed calfskin purses, clutches & totes range from $2500-$4300 and hit Chanel boutiques in September.

The House of Chanel Launches Rouge Coco Shine for the Spring /
